Jolan is from Belgium, and studies arts. Right now he is visiting diverse museums around, and a small goup of his class is patiently waiting close to us, while we’re talking and talking. He want’s to be a graphic illustrator, and he trusts that his want for indpendency and freely working possibly become real. He’s got his sketchbook alway with him, and if you like to have a look inside, please come this way…
This one is his favourite; „..its about sadness somehow, and to be more openminded.“ he explains. He works intuitively, and let things develop. In reality things also developed; the little group suddenly is gone, and now Jolan is all at once in a hurry…
Studs and freckles.
Tomorrow I'll be going to the Wolfsonian Museum to see:
FASHION DIVAS FROM LONDON TO LINCOLN ROAD— fashionistas on film: Beyond BIBA: A Portrait of Barbara Hulanicki (2009, UK, Louis Price, 56 min, color, DVD) explores the Warsaw-born fashion designer's role in Miami Beach design following her career at BIBA, the London shop that changed the face of UK fashion in the 1960s and '70s; and IRENE WILLIAMS: Queen of Lincoln Road (2005, USA, Eric Smith, 23 min, color, DVD), introduces one of Miami Beach's most colorful characters, whose wild and colorful handmade outfits caught the filmmaker's eye. Light reception between screenings.
Der Stil gefällt!

@mim; I had to google both of them , (and finally found time now…) they both are quite inspiring in different ways, and I would love to join you tomorrow , believe me. I found a trailer of the irene williams film, and she seems to be so steadfastly in a creative way. Thank you, I´m curious to hear about it! And I have to learn more about the biba story, because I know it now, in germany, as a very conventional label with the attidude of being extraordinary in a very commercial way. What I found out sounds interesting, I'm going to research this..
Viel Erfolg beim Blogger-Mädchen-Contest!
